2013 Was Amazing!

It's true. 2013 was an amazing year for us! We survived the first year of dental school (and half of the second), we celebrated our 5 year anniversary, and we bought a house! It was a busy year but there were also so many wonderful adventures, that I'm kind of sad to see it go. 2014 has a lot to live up to! That being said I am truly excited for 2014. I really feel like it's going to be an incredible year! There are so many possible surprises that 2014 may bring that it just makes me smile thinking about it.

2013 was the first year  (as a married couple) that we celebrated Christmas and New Years away from family. It was a little sad because not only did we miss our families, but most of our friends left town to go spend the holidays with their families. But, we made the most of it and ended up really enjoying the holidays. We got to spend a lot of time with our good friends the Marks (Krystal, Mike, and their two adorable little girls). We went with them to see Lights Under Louisville, which is an underground cave that they decorate for Christmas and you can drive through. It was pretty cool!

We also spent Christmas Eve with the Marks family. We all went out to a yummy dinner, decorated Christmas cookies for Santa, and watched a Christmas movie.

Christmas was nice and relaxing for us. We had Christmas music playing most of the day, we opened presents, played games, called/FaceTimed our families, and enjoyed a yummy turkey dinner. It was the first turkey I'd ever made so I was pretty proud of myself how delicious it ended up being! :) Next year for sure we will go visit family for Christmas. (Another great thing about 2014)
New Years Eve was a fun night full of friends and games. We had three couples over to our place and we played lots of games, watched some football, ate some food, and celebrated beautiful Kellie's birthday! We have been so blessed to have such great friends out here in Louisville!

Happy 24th Birthday Kellie! She's such a trooper. Nine months pregnant and still partying till midnight with all of us!
We hope everyone had a fun and safe New Year! May 2014 bring you much happiness and many blessings!
Happy New Year!
